Three astronauts land on Earth from ISS in
Russian capsule

Three astronauts on Friday landed safely in the Kazakh steppe aboard a Russian Soyuz capsule after a stay of almost six months aboard the International Space Station. Live NASA TV footage showed Russians Anton Shkaplerov and Anatoly Ivanishin and NASA astronaut Dan Burbank touched down at 1145 GMT under a clear blue sky after deploying a massive parachute that helped their capsule glide safely through the lower reaches of orbit.
